Quality Assurance Supervisor (AM FRESH North America, Inc. / Pedricktown, NJ) - Responsible for inspecting agricultural commodities to ascertain quality, safety and conformance with legal and company standards applying principles of agriculture/agronomy to analyze the methods of fruit and vegetable productions, shipping methodologies and storage; preparing reports for growers related to quality of products; determining rotation of inventory based on arrival and condition of fruit; selecting fruit for shipments to customers; RFRC process; preparing weekly reports to management and growers, implementing standard operating procedures; coordinate inspection of fruit on arrival with quality inspector team; coordinate repack process and materials to meet customer specifications, control operations. Requires Bachelor’s in Food Science, Agricultural Engineering, Bioresource Engineering, or another related food science field and one year of experience in job offered or in position(s) including Quality Inspector for South America. Background in education, training or experience must include knowledge in food science; operations and logistics related to fresh fruit management; knowledge of proper criteria for temperature and age management of inventory, post-harvest and management; pest and disease knowledge for recognition and control on fresh fruit; food safety standards knowledge by import and export countries; MRL (max residues levels) of pesticides on fruit for human consumption by market rules.
