The City of Pearsall is currently accepting Applications for the following position:
Job title: Assistant Public Works Director Department: Public Works Open Date: 09/23/2024 Closing Date: 10/07/2024 Hours: Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm(Subject to Dept. Heads discretion - hours may vary)

Role and Responsibilities: Under general supervision of the Director of Public Works, assist in the management, planning, organizing, and directing of work within the Department of Public Works. Responsibilities will include assisting in overseeing multiple operations within the Department of Public Works which includes street, water/sewer utilities, natural gas facilities, transfer station, construction plan review, and capital improvement project management. In the absence of the Director of Public Works, this position shall assume the duties of the department director.
Minimum Requirements: High School or GED A minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in engineering/construction operations, preferably in municipal government. A minimum of two years of management/supervisory experience. Possession of a valid Texas Drivers License. Possession of TCEQ W/WW Class B or the ability to obtain one within one year of employment. PREFERRED: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field.
