U.S. Pacific Fleet, Commander in Chief SUPV ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Hawaii

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Engineering & Planning Department (Code 200) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Responsibilities You will serve as principal contact and technical specialist on non-nuclear system testing and work control programs of an assigned submarine undergoing maintenance/modernization availability. You will plan, develop, and coordinate the preparation of a complete test and work control program for integrated ship systems testing and work control. You will formulate an integrated test schedule and review preliminary work packages. You will review the Integrated Overhaul Test Program to ensure adequacy of testing authorized in one final package. You will plan and develop ancillary schedules for hydro-static, flush, and operational testing. You will direct, evaluate, and assign the work activities of assigned group of subordinates. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical engineering project oversight (such as: planning, organizing, sequencing, directing large-scaled work assignments; resolving multi-disciplinary technical engineering problems; managing labor and non-labor project resources; administering cost control measures) during the repair, modification or overhaul of ships or submarines.
