Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST of NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. Responsibilities You will conduct cost analysis efforts for complex defense weapon systems programs, including life cycle cost estimating. You will conduct data collection, research and analysis of acquisition programs and emerging technologies. You will train cost analysts to conduct cost estimating. You will communicate with acquisition program office staff, technical/engineering teams, defense contractors and external government customers to understand cost risk of acquisition programs. You will deliver oral and written presentations of findings to senior leaders. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing acquisition program life cycle cost estimates; 2) Providing contract cost evaluations for complex defense weapon systems; 3) Conducting cost analysis of design, production, and operation costs; 4) Analyzing program risks, costs, and schedule uncertainty; and 5) Creating analytical models. Applicants must posses: Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics.
