Naval Facilities Engineering Command SUPERVISORY FACILITY SUPPORT CONTRACT MANAGER in Patuxent River, Maryland
Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FACILITY SUPPORT CONTRACT MANAGER in the Facility Support Contract (FSC) Management and Facility Services (FMFS) Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division (FEAD) of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH. Responsibilities You will develop performance based statements of work using NAVFAC templates for solicitation of services contracts. You will perform day-to-day administration and management of assigned support contracts. You will review and create documentation identifying contractor performance. You will prepare appropriate correspondence and recommendations to the PWO regarding contractor performance and schedule. You will develop and execute a Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF) budget. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Acting as a Government representative in interpreting contract clauses for negotiation modification and task orders; 2) Ensuring employees are provided awareness training in Facilities Contracts, safety, protection of government owned property and Employee Equal Opportunity policies and programs to evaluate employee performance; 3) Preparing correspondence regarding contractor performance and schedule to ensure adherence with fair labor practices; 4) Ensuring that funding is available for contractors performance, and; 5) Utilizing computer software (i.e. Microsoft Excel, word, Project management and Power Point) to prepare reports for cost estimates and maintenance schedules. Physical Demands: The work is mostly sedentary, but walking, stair and ladder climbing is required in visits to the contractor's facility and/or place of work. Site visits can be for exterior or interior efforts where weather will be a determining factor in performing duties. Work Environment: Work is performed primarily in an office setting but may involve some outside visits to contractor work areas where construction safety equipment is required to be worn. Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear, during occasional visits to job sites.
