We are currently seeking an Embedded IT Support Specialist to support the USMC Light/Attack Helicopter Programs Office (PMA-276) in Patuxent River, Maryland.

Functional Description: Provide technical assistance to computer users. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically. May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word-processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.

The successful candidate will provide technical assistance to computer users, answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically. The PMA IT Support/NMCI POC is responsible for handling day to day IT issues. The incumbent assists the team with NMCI POC duties, NMCI related actions within their designated Competency/PMA include Ordering, Data Accuracy, Delivery Completeness Reporting, Customer Assistance, MAC (Move, Add, Change) Implementation, Seat Management, and Customer Satisfaction.

Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide technical assistance to computer users concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.

  • Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically.

  • Track and inventory equipment such as computers, monitors, printers, peripherals (i.e. mice, keyboards, headsets, cameras, etc) and VTC equipment.

  • NMCI computer, peripheral and network troubleshooting support, hardware/software ordering, delivery completeness reporting, customer assistance, Move/Add/Change (MAC).

  • Assist users by pre-validating SAAR-N documents and ensuring submission to the appropriate team.

  • Assist in asset delegation and software transition, for new asset requests and tech refreshes

  • Monitor FlankSpeed Migrations and email support when required during transition

  • Inform users of critical updates that potentially cause work stoppage and work to mitigate.

  • Place help desk calls and/or tickets for the PMA end user and follow through to ensure issue resolution.

  • Create and maintain employee and seat order data including profiles for new employees, ordering new seats, transferring assets, and terminating seats as required within NET.

  • Resolving end users IT hardware and software related issues, including VTC equipment, Printers, Scanners, fax machines, stand-alone systems, creating and maintaining outstanding customer relations.

  • Experience with SharePoint Online and Teams.

  • Assist with on boarding and off boarding of the PMA by managing workflows

  • Manage the addition and removal of users from Teams groups and shared network drives.

  • Attend ongoing, new technology trainings, weekly seat refresh updates, and Drumbeat meetings, maintaining an understanding of the NMCI direction

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline is desired; or an AS or AA degree and an additional two years of experience or an additional four years of experience with no degree.

Experience: Three to ten years of experience is required for this position.

Desired experience:

  • Experience with multiple applications to include: Power Automate flows, SharePoint Lists, Lists, Planner, SPO and how to utilize these applications within Microsoft Teams.

  • Experience with M365 suite to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, OneNote.

  • Assist users and maintain assets and peripherals in secured spaces.

  • Minimum of two years of experience using SharePoint and Share Drives.

  • Four (4) years of experience in IT support; and included in the four (4) years, there must be at least two (2) years professional experience in technical efforts supporting Share Point and share drives. NAVAIR IT experience a plus.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
