Actalent QC Technician in Paterson, New Jersey

Job Title: QC Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a QC Technician who is passionate about the food industry and eager to grow in this field with a rapidly evolving industry leader that imports and exports with European countries!

Responsibilities

  • Line auditing for production of bread

  • Environmental monitoring and air sampling

  • Monthly SQF audits

  • Calibration and verification of scales, monitors, and other basic instrumentation

  • Basic documentation practices using MS Excel, Word, and Office

  • Monitor and verify product quality throughout the manufacturing process following GMP

  • Perform visual inspections, monitor product weights, codes, labeling, and other quality checks to ensure product quality

  • Address all Food Safety issues and customer complaints with the help of QA Supervisors

  • Other periodic tasks week to week

Essential Skills

  • Quality Control experience within the Food and Beverage industry

  • High School Diploma

  • Knowledge of Food Safety practices including SQF, FSMA, or HACCP

  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Adaptability to change

  • Strong communication skills

  • Must be a communicative team player who can adapt to rapid change

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • HACCP or SQF Certification (nice to have)

  • Bilingual

  • Experience in GMP environment

  • Environmental Monitoring

  • Air Sampling

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Paterson, New Jersey

Work Environment

  • The team currently consists of 2 members, aiming to grow to 5.

  • The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm with slight alterations of 30 minutes here and there, and minimal overtime.

  • The culture is communicative and composed of self-starters who adapt to a fast-paced and productive environment.
