The major function of the Infant/Toddler Service Worker is to assist in the planning and implementation of the education program service area for the partner providers under the Early Head Start/Child Care Partnership Grant. The specific functions of the Infant/Toddler Service Worker are to: (1) provide expert services in the service area to partner providers and their teaching staff; (2) coordinate, monitor, and implement services and activities according to the Early Head Start Childhood Development and Health Services Plan; (3) assure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and applicable federal, state, and local regulations; (4) assure they are in accordance with accepted standards and best practices in the early childhood and education field.Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with (5) five years’ experience in Early Childhood Education and a written plan to meet the foregoing preferred requirement.Preferred: Master’s Degree with specialized preparation for teaching Early Childhood and Infant/ Toddler Education. Three (3) years experience in an Early Childhood program or working with special needs children.
