In our Global IS User Experience Center, you will join our technical team. We are committed toestablishing a connected, modernised and automated IT client and application experience that predicts and auto-adapts user behaviors across multiple devices.It is our responsibility that our front-end devices such as PC’s, phones, printers and other hardware support remote working so our colleagues have the best conditions for working wherever and whenever it makes sense to them.

You will join a team of highly skilled colleagues who are all experts in their own fields – so the help is near any time you need professional back-and-forth. We enjoy working together, and the atmosphere is both professional and informal at the same time.

What is the Job all about?

As our new System Engineer Analyst, your will focus on testing of packages used for automated software installation, publishing remote applications, clean-up of packaged software, coordination and improvement of processes, resolution of support tickets. Other relevant tasks related to the role may be assigned as necessary.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Package beta testing including Virtual Machine (VM) / Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) preparation and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) package group distribution

  • Publishing remote applications on virtual desktops (e.g. AVD)

  • Clean-up, deletion of packaged software

  • Coordination and improvement of packaging processes

  • Management, troubleshooting, and resolution of support tickets

  • Assisting 2nd/3rd line support in finding the root cause for package related problems and a possible solution

Your background:

We imagine that you have the following background or expertise:

  • At least 2-3 years of relevant knowledge and experience on software acceptance testing and deployment tools.

  • Knowledge about package request handling and the Software Management Process

  • Knowledge about endpoint management solutions, desktop and app virtualization services

  • Thorough and broad technical foundation and IT experience.

  • Able to identify software limitations and known anomalies with minimal assistance.

  • Able to troubleshoot and provide data and input when developing solutions for reported problems.

Your Competencies:

General

  • Very good team player, experience working in Agile set up, self-motivated, good collaboration.

  • Knowledge of log files, understanding of file structure, local settings (application data etc.), can read and understand messages in event viewer, possesses security awareness and appropriate response.

  • Familiar with registry editor and where modifications are made when installing software.

  • Basic knowledge of network concepts, extensive knowledge of Windows scripting.

  • Be familiar with the purpose and features of remote diagnostics (TeamViewer).

Scripting

  • Experienced in PowerShell and VB scripting using PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit

  • Experienced in MSI scripting, WISE or InstallShield

  • Experience with Microsoft App-V packaging

Deployment system (Microsoft SCCM)

  • Familiar with Microsoft SCCM, with knowledge of specific settings regarding packages, collection and advertisements

  • Knowledge of deployment tools

Software

  • Know how to install software and problems related to installation of software in a controlled domain environment compared to private home office.

  • Be able to use and explain the common facets of Windows System. What the various menu options do, the normal content of System folder, how to remove start-up items and in general knowing what software normally modifies when installed.

Hardware

  • Know how to install and configure common peripherals (general hardware settings, local printers, graphical components).

AD – Active directory

  • Knowledge of how to monitor users, groups, and computers.
