We are seeking a professional like you to support the long-term strategic operation of the operating unit by providing technical support for instrumentation, electrical and controls equipment. The role provides expertise to support Maintenance, Operations, Capital Project design and Construction activities. You will assure proper design, installation, and repairs according to BASF and regulatory standards. The position will support and lead plant troubleshooting efforts when complex problems arise and provides off-hours support as required.

You will provide technical field support to Maintenance personnel, participate in Root Cause Failure Analyses, and help drive our instrumentation spares strategy and optimization of PM and PdM programs. You will collaborate with Production and Maintenance personnel and provide services related to design, review, repair, and maintenance, including predictive/preventative maintenance activities. You will also ensure a culture of continuous improvement employing LEAN Manufacturing tools. You will ensure we are not limited to meeting local regulations & BASF compliance in terms of instrumentation & electricals requirements. You will also assure proper design, procurement, and construction of capital and operational expense projects, usually <$5M, per regulatory and BASF standards.

As a Sr. I&E Reliability Engineer, You Create Chemistry By...

• Providing instrument and electrical engineering expertise in a chemical/petrochemical or manufacturing environment

• Utilizing reliability tools to drive improvements, troubleshoot, optimize costs, and improve asset effectiveness

• Establishing, monitoring, and optimizing preventative maintenance plans and repair parts acquisition

• Acting as a technical resource for maintenance of safety control systems and electrical equipment

• Identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting implementation using a continuous improvement mindset

• Offering troubleshooting support and recommendations following root cause failure analysis

If you...

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Electrical

• Experience in a chemical/petrochemical or manufacturing environment in maintenance and/or reliability

• Thorough knowledge of reliability tools (e.g., Bad Actor Program, FMEA, RBI, RBM, RCM) to drive improvements and optimize costs

• Technical expertise in safety control systems and electrical equipment maintenance

• Attention to detail in tracking preventive maintenance and equipment documentation

• Effective communication skills and ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate
