Insight Global Material Planner in Pasadena, Texas
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an Material Planner in Pasadena, Tx. This role will be a direct hire position and will report directly to the Director of Supply Chain and will be joining a team of 12 others. This person will be responsible for planning the raw materials and packaging supplies based on the production schedule, inventory on hand and storage capacity. This person will be working directly with the Production Department to accurately understand the production schedule and forecast, they will also be scheduling all deliveries to utilize labor efficiency. This role will verify all raw materials are correctly billed based on the appropriate pricing, is responsible for the inventory management of final product and raw materials including inventory reports, usage reports, costing reports and month end reconciliations. This role will be responsible for calculating the amount of product needed to maintain inventory levels, understand what is driving the demand levels and what tank sizes are needed for the amount of material being shipped and received. This person will be trained by the 2 Production Planners in the organization as they were previously promoted from Material Planners. This position is onsite in Pasadena and offers a hybrid schedule with 50% onsite and 50% allowing them to WFH.

HS Diploma
2 years within Material or Production Planning
2 years within Supply Chain
Experience with Inventory control
Experience with Freight Management
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft products
Chemical Industry Experience Experience with Purchasing
Experience working in SAP
Chemical Industry experience
Experience presenting in SOP meetings
Experience presenting material statuses and the product schedule
Experience partnering with Production, Logistics, Sales and Dispatch
Experience with tanks, drums and packaged products
Experience with Raw Materials null
