Description Experienced Accountants who have an aptitude for adaptability are perfect for this Senior Accountant position. This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Pasadena, California area.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments

• Administer monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

• Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

• Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests

• Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• An endless desire to improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting Requirements - Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

• Solid understanding of Adjusting Journal Entries

• Monthly Journal Entries experience

• Background working with Daily Cash Receipts

• Cash reconciliations experience highly preferred

• Demonstrated knowledge of trial balance

• General familiarity with General Ledger System

• Ledger Reconciliations experience preferred

• Adeptness in GAAP Accounting

• Reconciliations experience

• Practical knowledge of Sage X3

• Expertise in Journal Entry Preparation

• Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate

• Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

• ERP system experience

• Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired

• Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

• 7+ years of overall general accounting experience

• Be detailed, flexible, and organized

• Highly organized and self-motivated

• Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
