IQVIA Tax Analyst in Parsippany, New Jersey

Conducts the financial and accounting operations of the organization. Prepares, collects and interprets financial information; prepares budgets, reports, forecasts and statutory returns; conducts financial analyses of proposals, investments and fund sources; manages the organization's taxation affairs; manages cost accounting systems and cash flow; conducts audits; controls treasury and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.

Essential Functions

  • Preparation of certain US Federal, State, and City tax returns and payments.

  • Manage an area of expertise, which may include tax compliance and tax planning.

  • Assist in review of income tax returns and the income tax provision.

  • Assist in determining the current and deferred tax assets and liabilities of the company.

  • Devise, formulate and implement tax planning strategies.

  • Develop and implement processes to ensure the accurate calculation and reporting of all tax accounting requirements.

  • Assist with analyzing and implementing tax efficient opportunities.

  • Assist with special tax compliance and reporting projects.

  • Assist with preparation/review of Forms 5471 for controlled foreign corporations.

  • Draft initial responses for tax notices and audits.

  • Help maintain internal controls and supporting documentation for theCompany’s Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.

  • Conduct tax research utilizing RIA, Checkpoint, other tax research tools.

  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Master’s preferred.

  • 2-6 years' finance experience including corporate tax or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Strong understanding of standard corporate income tax and tax accounting concepts

  • Knowledge of Financial Accounting Standard calculations.

  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Tax provision control requirements.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and PeopleSoft.

  • Strong computer skills, including but not limited to: Alteryx, SAP, tax preparation software, tax research software, etc.

  • Knowledge of HFM, OneSource, and Alteryx is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills.

  • Ability to identify financial issues, develop and execute mitigating actions.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong influencing skills

  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients.

  • Strong analytic thinker, high level of self-motivation and a team player

  • Strong documentation skills

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $64,300.00 - $107,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
