Team Overview

The media team is accountable for delivering results, measuring and optimizing, aligning to objectives and evolving our marketing to ensure we’re best-in-class.

Summary

The Sr. Media Specialist will coordinate GAF’s advertising and branding program. This person will work directly with trade publications and media outlets to identify the best print / digital / mix plan to accomplish goals for product marketing, events, campaigns, etc. This role will understand priorities, strategically plan the advertising schedule around objectives, present the plan to SMEs in planning meetings, and execute on plan.

Essential Duties

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead comprehensive annual planning for both digital and traditional media campaigns including digital display, print media, Out-of-Home (OOH), events and email initiatives. Identify opportunities to build the GAF brand through partnerships and manage the implementation for maximum exposure.

  • Serve as liaison between magazines, media contacts, product managers and creative teams.

  • Contribute to strategy development alongside the Digital Media Manager for efficient channel mix to achieve campaign goals. Implement with precision in partnership with the Integrated Marketing Managers and Product Managers.

  • Project manage the ad creative development process and get sign off from the SME (Subject Matter Expert), ensuring all ads are submitted by deadlines.

  • Manage billing and payment to publications.

  • Coordinate a calendar and project manage production schedules, and updates.

  • Measure and optimize the media plan, and share performance metrics monthly.

  • Across all GAF campaigns, coordinate important metrics like share of voice, search impression share, etc.

  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications or Business

  • 5+ years of media marketing experience (print and/or digital), including branding and working directly with trade partners. Agency experience is a plus.

  • Strong communicator who is able to clearly communicate objectives, actions and deadlines.

  • Adept at aligning media plans to objectives, measuring performance (where possible), sharing results and optimizing.

  • Superior organizational and project management skills with a high attention to detail and deadlines.
