The Role

The Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting and Analysis will be responsible for providing financial reporting and analysis support for Wyndham Hotel and Resorts, with their findings communicated to various levels of finance management. This will be a critical role in the month end close and forecast process, as well as annual budget and long term strategic planning processes.

This position will take direction from the Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis to work on projects that achieve identified department goals which in turn align to the Wyndham Hotel and Resorts corporate goals.

What you'll do

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare internal operating statistic reporting schedules on a weekly basis.

  • Support the quarterly earnings process through the preparation of reporting and commentary around past performance and significant variances to prior periods.

  • Preparation and consolidation of monthly internal financial reporting to support the above and strategic goals of the department and organization.

  • Assist with the preparation and validation of quarterly Earnings call scripts and Q&A preparation for Senior Management.

  • Assist with the preparation and documentation of the MD&A in the 10-Q’s and 10-K’s.

  • Develop a strong understanding of group processes and procedures and assist with process documentation.

  • Prepare competitive comparison reports which requires reviewing and assessing competitors disclosures.

  • Assist with preparing ad hoc reports and analysis on an as needed basis.

FP&A

  • Partner with the systems team to test and validate new reporting functionality.

  • Provide day to day financial support for business teams to ensure that actuals and forecasts are accurate and that departments perform in line with budget expectations.

  • Act as FP&A partner in the maintenance of Hyperion planning system to ensure all data is consolidated and reported accurately and that SOX controls are met.

  • Assist with forecasting and the monthly close process.

  • Assist with the preparation of the basic and diluted share forecast.

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.

  • 2-5 years of experience in Accounting or FP&A.

  • Knowledge of Hyperion Planning & Essbase financial systems, a plus.

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
