Team Overview

The Marketing Services team supports multiple business units at GAF and a number of affiliated businesses, supporting multiple brands and product categories through innovative marketing solutions including branding, marketing campaign development, and tactical execution.

Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Content Strategist to join our team. The Content Strategist is responsible for working with Digital Marketing partners to come up with unique content ideas for publication across digital platforms on both GAF.com and COE. Core duties include conducting market research to learn about current content trends and target audiences, identifying business objectives, and regularly auditing existing content to generate content strategy deliverables for internal and external partners.

Essential Duties

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work closely within the digital marketing team and stakeholders for both GAF.com and COE to ensure the development of world-class websites, portals, and mobile applications.

  • Stay up to date on the latest developments in SEO, content trends and consumer behavior.

  • Partner with Project Managers, and IMC leads to establish a shared calendar of project deadlines, content launch dates, and the development of new content channels

  • CollaboratewiththeUXDesignteamtogainin-depthknowledgeofcustomer personas and to define key user journeys and decision trees

  • Leverage UX research and analysis to develop a web content strategy to change user behavior and drive improved engagement

  • Partner with SEO specialist & copywriters to develop new content relevant to key audiences at each stage of the conversion funnel

  • ConductquarterlycontentauditsforGAF.comandCOE,analyzesiteperformance data and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Partner with the Digital Marketing Analyst to track, calculate and report on key KPI’s for GAF.com and COE.

  • Align with paid media (https://www.simplilearn.com/social-media-marketing-skills-article) and integrated marketing to support campaign strategies across the web.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information management, technical writing, marketing, creative writing, communications, or related field

  • 4+ years of professional experience related to Content Strategy or Project Management

  • Must be self-motivated, proactive and able to utilize time allotted efficiently

  • Strong collaborative skills to work across multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and report to different levels within and outside the organization

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Content presentation skills – determine how content should be packaged for new and existing consumers to induce them to take business actions.

  • Experience in handling and strategizing marketing campaigns.

  • Editorial competency – conduct thorough audits to determine what content should be kept, edited, rewritten, and more

  • Having a keen interest in organizational goals and targets

  • Ability to develop thorough, long-term content strategies that align with business goals

  • Understanding of UX design principles (https://careerfoundry.com/en/blog/ux-design/what-are-principles-of-design/) : knowledge of how user experience affects content strategy development

  • Knowledgeof SEO best practices :understandingofthefundamentalsofSEOand ability to use tools to increase visibility on search engines
