Compensation Specialist, Sr

As a Senior Compensation Specialist, you are responsible for guiding compensation activity in the multinational Curtiss-Wright divisions assigned, including salary and incentive plan administration, market analysis, and compensation program development, consulting with management and HR staff on complex compensation issues and initiatives. You will complete complex ad-hoc analysis, prepare recommendations to support policy development and regulatory compliance, lead merger and acquisition (M&A) due diligence, and complete compensation and job-related configuration in Workday, our global Human Capital Management system.

Your Challenge:

  • Own job configuration and participate in configuration and maintenance of compensation plans in Workday. Collaborate on compensation-related business process configuration, system upgrades, and enhancements to optimize functionality.

  • Conduct compensation program assessment, completing compensation surveys and analyzing results, building impact analyses and transition timelines, creating and delivering communications and training, and driving implementation and ongoing maintenance.

  • Complete evaluation of new and existing jobs and recommends pay grades and FLSA status evaluations. Develop and update standardized job descriptions for benchmark jobs within the System. Maintain standardized job descriptions and job data

  • Conduct the due diligence for acquisition targets with respect to compensation issues; develop and help implement the approved compensation integration strategies and plans.

  • Prepare and present sound recommendations to senior management with respect to pay equity, compensation policies and programs, areas for improvement, and emerging trends to assist in decision-making that support business strategy and direction.

  • Evaluate and analyze current compensation practices, proposing adjustments to policies, pay structures, and processes that balance emerging regulatory requirements, market alignment, and business drivers.

  • Partner with field locations to administer compensation programs aligned with corporate policy. Handle inquiries from field locations, interpret company policy and government regulations, and provide solutions to compensation-related issues.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and international laws to ensure programs and plans meet statutes and requirements.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of compensation experience in a multinational environment

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with emphasis placed on Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data visualization techniques)

  • Thorough knowledge of compensation practices and processes

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Excellent organization, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to work with large data sets and perform quantitative analysis

  • Strong HR technology skills, experience with Workday preferred

  • Ability to apply consultative skills in a business environment

  • Ability to conduct comprehensive market pricing studies

  • Ability to make effective presentations to a variety of audiences both in person and via webinars

  • Dedication to precision, accuracy, and consistency

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
