GAF Associate Retail Deduction Specialist in Parsippany, New Jersey

Team Overview

The Associate Retail Deduction Specialist is part of our Retail Sales Operations team. This position is based in our corporate office in Parsippany, NJ and will be on a hybrid 3:2 in office schedule.

Summary:

The Associate Retail Deduction Specialist is responsible for disputing chargebacks, identifying root causes for deductions, and making appropriate system updates to minimize issues moving forward. They will prepare packages to be approved by the merchant when the deduction disputes are rejected by the retailers’ portals. They will identify root causes for returns and find ways to minimize further returns. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail oriented and be passionate about creating and maintaining smoothly running processes.

Essential Duties:

Deduction Specialization

  • Completes disputes in the retailers’ portals

  • Gathers supporting documentation for disputes

  • Completes root cause analysis on any chargebacks making appropriate systems updates

  • Completes dispute packages with all relevant information to provide to the merchant when normal methods do not result in payment

  • Reviews all RTV (Return to Vendor) credits to determine if they are valid. Complete root cause analysis to reduce future returns.

  • Uses dashboards to monitor deductions, credits and payments

  • Streamline supporting document gathering

  • Systemtotrackdeductiondisputestatus

  • Provide Bi-Weekly reporting on outstanding deductions

  • Research validity of deductions and address them accordingly

Project Support

  • Member of the cross functional project team working to improve our processes

  • Assist with projects involving the order to cash cycle.

Process Improvement

  • Defineproblemswithcurrentprocesses,andworkwiththeappropriate functions/teams/groups to develop solutions.

  • Identifies opportunities to streamline and simplify workflow.

  • Coordinates with team members to execute new ideas or approaches and achieve process improvement goals.

Under This Roof, We Require

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • 2+ years of related work experience

Under This Roof, We Also Value

  • Proficient in Google Business Suites or Microsoft Business Suite.

  • Experience in data systems, PeopleSoft, Commerce Hub a plus.

  • Knowledge of retailers and GAF’s systems and processes

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
