We're looking for a Field Technician.

Your challenge:

Analyze, document and implement new, or modify existing, local computing infrastructure to meet ongoing research center needs. Specialist will provide in-depth technical and/or business knowledge to handle complex issues and ensure local computing infrastructure and implementation meets business requirements, follows industry standards and maintains data security. This role will apply knowledge of desktop and general computing infrastructure to meet research center and information management needs for a robust and fault tolerant infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with existing Specialist group to provide in-depth technical and/or business knowledge to resolve desktop and computing infrastructure needs and implementation issues.

• Perform technical analysis, define and assign tasks, develop schedules and milestones.

• Consult with support staff and research center leaders and implement solutions at research centers in EMEA region.

• Manage and maintain Windows-based systems and environments.

• Implement and maintain IT infrastructure to support business operations.

• Stay updated with the latest developments in Windows technologies and best practices

• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Collaborate with other IT functions.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Or equivalent levels of relevant education and five or more years of progressive industry experience.

Competencies

• Advanced understanding of desktop computing and implementation.

• Thorough understanding of desktop imaging and desktop deployment strategies.

• Strong understanding of Windows OS and operating environment

• Knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies with capacity to diagnose problems.

• Familiarity with Active Directory and Windows Server platforms.

• Familiarity with industrial computing (PLC, automation)

• Excellent oral and written communication, planning and decision-making skills.

• Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work with people at all levels, including outside consultants and vendors.

• Able to build and maintain relationships and facilitate collaboration and communication.

• Interest in learning new technologies and operating systems.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work as part of a global team and, at times, independently while appropriately prioritizing tasks.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English are required.

• Experience in agricultural technologies, research, life sciences is a plus.

• Full on site during peak season

• Flexworks off season

The gross monthly salary for the position is EUR 4,050, with a willingness to overpay depending on your qualifications.
