Robert Half is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our clients team in Park Ridge, Illinois. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our attorneys in various litigation matters, focusing primarily on Mortgage Foreclosure cases. Your responsibilities will involve strategizing case file and process management throughout all litigation stages, preparing for and attending legal proceedings, and communicating with external entities to gather necessary information.

Responsibilities:

• Participates as a team member and assists attorneys, senior paralegals in various litigation matters by playing a key role in the work required to support the firm's client

• This hands-on position provides support as an integral part of strategizing case file and process management through all stages of litigation

• Focus on Mortgage Foreclosure cases

• Track documents with minimal supervision

• Assist attorneys in reviewing documents and prepare for depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitrations

• Compile, review, and analyze documents as required by attorneys specific to case issues

• Perform factual, legal, and internet research to identify issues and relevant matters, and prepare compilations of findings

• Assist with the preparation of court filings, including fact-checking legal briefs and assembling exhibits and appendices

• Understand the mechanics of e-filing and e-file with courts and agencies

• Communicate, correspond, and interact with clients and outside entities to gather information or data

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Ability to multitask

• Previous experience in a Paralegal role for a minimum of three years

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of Foreclosure procedures

• Knowledge of e-File systems

• Experience in handling Discovery processes in legal cases

• Proven ability to prepare and manage Trial Exhibits

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Law or related field is preferred
