Amazon's EU International Technology (EU INTech) Cross Border Pricing charter mission is to absorb the complexity of worldwide cross-border pricing on-behalf of sellers, helping our seller to expand to new marketplaces hence increasing the selection for our customers.

Key job responsibilities

We are seeking a seasoned engineering manager with experience in Internet-scale distributed systems and a focus on customers, engineering, and operational excellence. You will lead and grow an engineering team that is responsible for design, development, and operations. You are a leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and who has a track record of building good teams that deliver results.

We are looking for a hands on leader with expertise and passion in solving hard engineering problems.

You will be in charge of the complete software development life-cycle; defining, prioritizing, designing, building, and testing new features

You will get the opportunity to work closely with a great team of software developers

You will understand what it takes to grow and operate Amazon business at our scale.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field – with a strong foundation in distributed systems, software engineering, and architecture.

Proven experience managing software development teams – including at least 3 years leading engineering teams in a distributed or remote setting.

Extensive experience in system design and architecture – with a deep understanding of designing, building, and scaling distributed systems.

Strong communication and collaboration skills – with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and geographically distributed teams.

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

Proven ability to mentor and grow engineering talent – with experience in performance management, career development, and coaching engineers at various levels.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms and distributed infrastructure – with a strong grasp of microservices, event-driven architectures, and fault-tolerant systems.
