Job Summary

It’s boarding time! As a Lean Deployment Leader you will support the Site Lean team in implementing the GKN Lean Operating Model, starting with the brilliant basics. You will implement Daily Management Systems, educate, train Lean Foundations, support and facilitate Problem Solving, and drive improvements through approaches like 5S, Value Stream Design, Implementing Flow and Visual Management methods in our facility. The role will report within Manufacturing Engineering.

Job Responsibilities

• You have experience with the Lean implementation of handling and manufacturing in a production environment, preferably in wiring harnesses. • You have knowledge and a proven track record of implementing industry standard Lean Improvement methods on a shop floor. • You are able to analyse and improve manufacturing methods and processes. • You can manage execution of improvement actions.

What do you bring to be successful

• You have experience in implementation of Lean Manufacturing in high volume high complexity industrial environment. • You have a minimum of 5 years in a production/ manufacturing environment. • Experience with manufacturing processes of wiring harnesses is an advantage. • You have a good knowledge of Lean Thinking and Lean Leadership. • Fluent in English, verbal & written. Proficiency in Dutch is a strong advantage. • You are having the ability to influence Group Leader, Team Leader, and operator level, as well as the enabling functions. • You are a leader, coach and mentor for your team members. • You lead by example with integrity, discipline and an eye for people and engagement.

What do we do at GKN Fokker Elmo

At GKN Fokker ELMO, we make wiring harnesses for aircraft, which connect all the electrical systems in an aircraft. To make the wiring harnesses, we have everything in-house from start to finish. From complete engineering to our final product, the ready-to-use wiring harnesses, we do this for well-known aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus, and Lockheed-Martin for both civil and military aircraft. We produce these wiring harnesses worldwide at several sites. In Papendrecht we have 1400 employees. This is what GKN Fokker ELMO is all about: quality and therefore airworthiness.
