Position Summary

We are currently looking for a highly competent Global Procurement Manager based in Panama, responsible for managing the commercial and sourcing activities for the Casein & MPC (Milk Protein Concentrate) in the dairy category used by Nestlé worldwide.

Reporting directly to the Global Category Lead, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the category strategy for the spend in scope on a global level, utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies.

A day in the life of a Global Procurement Manager for Casein & MPC

  • Define and implement the global category strategy for Casein & MPC, utilizing Strategic Sourcing processes, tools and policies.

  • Manage the procurement spend and sourcing strategy as well as the ESG strategy on GHG and Responsible Sourcing, through alignment with internal stakeholders within the Dairy category and various Sustainability teams.

  • Be the Single Point of Contract (SPOC) for one of our key global dairy suppliers and provide feedback to other SPOCS on performance of key Casein/MPC suppliers.

  • Manage the relationship with various stakeholders to integrate category plans and outcomes in local budgets and price planning.

  • Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Negotiate and manage contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the strategy.

  • Ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.

What makes you successful

  • University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics or Finance.

  • Experience in Supply Chain/Procurement.

  • Experienced in procurement tools such as ARIBA, E-Auction, Contract Management, Hedging, Tendering and Savings measurement tools.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience within a strategic sourcing role, ideally gained within dairy or within FMCG.

  • Experience in ESG climate initiatives with a specific emphasis on GHG reduction preferably within the dairy industry.

  • Demonstrated successful use of risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relationship management.

  • Significant experience with driving and delivering significant cost savings with key suppliers and working with cross functional stakeholders such as supply chain, R & D, Q.A, Logistics and Regulatory.

  • Excellent presentation skills in presenting sourcing strategies and financials to key stakeholders.

  • Fluency in English, another language will be an asset.
