King Technologies is seeking a Tier 2 Technician to  Support the Customer Service Desk of NSWC PCD by maintaining the RDT&E Unclassified Network computer systems and the NSWC PCD RDT&E Secure Defense Research and Engineering Network (SDREN) Laboratory (Classified) computer systems.  

Position Summary/Description:

The successful candidate will be proficient in various applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel, have a working knowledge of Adobe Pro and database systems. Active working knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, SCCM, Windows 10/11 OS, Command Prompt, Power Shell and group policies. Basic understanding of IPs and VLANs.

Essential Duties:

• Install, configure, upgrade, replace or remove hardware and software components from the NSWC PCD RDT&E environment desktop computers.

• Perform functions such as installing workstation operating systems and applications, troubleshooting, and supporting users with hardware or software issues, coordinate user moves both on and off site.

• Provide desktop support for network related Microsoft® computer software on Microsoft® compatible hardware at the client’s location or via Desktop Remote Control.

• Troubleshoot, perform computer, installs, and connect software or hardware to the RDT&E network in accordance with industry standards and local SOPs.

Qualifications Required:

• DoD Secret Security Clearance

• DoD 8570.01-M Baseline IT Level I and IAT Level II certifications are desired

• 1 year of experience

• CompTIA Security+ certification

• CompTIA A+ certification

• Working knowledge of Cisco Switching and routing a plus

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suites
