Description
As a Senior Field Technician 1:
Instruct customers in equipment operation, provide technical assistance, performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots equipment for malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
Perform one or many of a wide range of installation tasks such as running conduit and cable, installing and connecting trays, racks and electronic hardware systems, connecting and testing both new and retrofit construction of audio/visual, computer server, network and telecommunications equipment.
Install, upgrade levels and remove products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
Assemble, install and configure systems and equipment in accordance with site assessments and schematics.
Complete system programming and optimization as part of the installation process.
Complete final commissioning and integrated acceptance testing of electrical systems and associated equipment.
Ensure the commissioning and final acceptance of critical path equipment is conducted to clients requirements and in accordance with applicable industry standards (API, ABS, DNV, etc.).
Perform routine system maintenance and analysis functions, including hardware configurations and adding, removing and replacing equipment components.
Provide on-site end-user training on system operation, maintenance and limited troubleshooting.
REQUIREMENTS:
Travel is required more than 25% in the first 6 months.
Ablitiy to obtain Security Clearance or have a current CAC Card
Experience in DC & AC wiring.
Frequently required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
