A key element of this strategy was the design of a new way to support its suite of 30 brands globally. The company chose Panama as being best suited to establish its new Global Business Services (GBS) operation center. This new center will initially deliver Finance, Human Resources and Legal services to ELC employees across several geographies and time zones. Through a new innovative service minded approach, this center will redefine service standards globally at ELC. This new GBS team will provide a one-stop-shop solution for the ELC businesses, supported by new customer engagement insights, new systems, and new reporting. In addition to delivering exceptional service to the ELC businesses each day, the GBS team will also be responsible for continuously streamlining work in pursuit of growing its service offering in support of achieving ELC’s strategic and business objectives. Position Overview

This role is critical in providing financial support to the new brands acquired in the ELC portfolio, responsible for assisting and monitoring closing processes, approval of manual journal entries and account reconciliations, adherence to SOX Controls, financial reporting, and ad-hoc analysis. Demonstrating a ‘customer first’ attitude, the individual will partner with the Record to Report Team of the Brands to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial services. This includes the guidance of the record to the report team to achieve the completion of accounting deliverables. The candidate will need to demonstrate a strong financial skill set to analyze complex business transactions and understand their impact on end financial statements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough analysis of current month-end close processes and identify opportunities to streamline workflows by supporting the implementation of tools that will help monitor and track the activities.

  • Oversee the Third-Party Provider service delivery activity and monitor all reconciliations are completed promptly, contributing to accurate financial reporting.

  • Review and present reconciliation reports to management, highlighting open items and providing insights for decision-making.

  • Partner with various departments across the company to develop a deeper understanding of all transactions that impact the month-end closing processes and reporting

  • Support Process Transformation efforts and strategies by working with regional leadership to improve RTR processes specifically the ones related to timeliness, approvals, and controls.

  • Creation and Maintenance of Process Documentation

  • Perform quality review processes on the balance sheet reconciliations and follow-up action plans.

  • Provide insights to the stakeholders regarding performance, operations & other initiatives.

  • Support Process Transformation, working with various stakeholders to facilitate end-to-end process review and assessments, identifying opportunities to drive increased harmonization and standardization across brands, departments, and processes

  • Supervise the work of senior analysts providing training, guidance and assistance to team members for day-to-day activities.

  • Foster an environment of integrity, monitoring adherence to applicable SOX and Operational controls, facilitating risk assessments & audit control testing

  • Engage in and suggest continuous process improvement ideas

  • Ensure that all activities are performed as efficiently and effectively as possible

Additional Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience

  • Bachelor's in accounting / finance / administration required.

  • Financial and Accounting deep knowledge and understanding

  • Intermediate or Advanced level of Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge of Microsoft D365 and Blackline tool (Desirable)

  • Strong communication skills to explain complex financial topics or issues, including presenting findings and recommendations to management.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other departments, ensuring alignment on financial data and close processes.

  • Continuous improvement and service-oriented mindset; consistently reviews processes and procedures to drive efficiency and effectiveness and improve client experience

  • Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines
