US Ethics Program, Senior Associate
Join our Core Business Services (CBS) team, where you will support the essential business enablement functions that keep our organization running strong. As a CBS professional, you will work across teams to provide the knowledge, resources, and tools that help EY deliver exceptional quality service to our clients, win in the marketplace, and support EY’s growth and profitability. Major teams within CBS include Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Enterprise Support Services, Brand Marketing and Communications, Business Development, Knowledge, and Ethics & Compliance.
The Ethics & Compliance function helps protect EY from risks that arise from its professional practice. Ethics & Compliance teams provide coordinated advice and assistance on regulatory and risk management issues, as well as management and oversight regarding the organization’s ethics.
Job Summary:
As an Americas Ethics Program Senior Associate, you will support the firmwide Ethics & Compliance Program efforts, through:
Executing an effective communication, training, and engagement strategy to support a culture of integrity and accountability and advising professionals across a range of service lines, industry sectors, and geographic Areas
Supporting the management of Ethics Program framework activities to embed ethics into the rhythm of business with a shared vision throughout EY
Identifying and implementing modifications and enhancements, enabling the process(es) to support firm priorities and needs.
You will work independently, with periodic feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate operations of the Ethics Champions program, an ambassador program of 200+ high performing leaders across all Service Lines and Offices, including providing support to the Ethics Champions and executing program activities and initiatives such as roundtables, meetings, and communications strategies
Assist in the content development and execution of an Ethics & Compliance communication plan and training approach to embed EY culture across the firm and highlight key ethics responsibilities
Provide administrative support for Ethics & Compliance initiatives, including documenting and executing review processes, creating and maintaining project plans, and coordinating collaboration between internal stakeholders
Leverage data analytics to identify trends in behavior and identify opportunities to improve our culture and ethics program
Assist in executing the ethics framework across the firm, implementing new strategy, and reviewing the application of the ethics program foundational elements
Recommend ways to improve process(es) and learning, and/or develop new approaches, calling on your Ethics & Compliance, technical, and business experience
Coordinate updates that are provided through strategic and ongoing meetings
Support research and analysis across the topics relevant to the Ethics & Compliance program. Interpret policies and processes, determine required actions, and document the diligence with which tasks are performed, to help meet the demands of external regulators
Develop relationships, and build a network of people within your team and across the firm
Provide support and act as a liaison for active and in development technology enablement projects
Skills and attributes for success:
Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to coordinate processes and projects with multiple internal stakeholder groups
Ability to write processes, procedure manuals and plans on complex matters that are easily understood
Ability to think creatively and contribute ideas to fresh solutions in training and communications; creative writing and/or learning design experience is a plus
Strong technical abilities and the use of analytical methodology to execute projects
Independently answer complex, non-routine questions from internal clients, including interactions that may require a high degree of emotional intelligence
Personal ownership and accountability, with the ability to prioritize workload and deliver credible outputs within strict deadlines
Understand the need for change initiatives and act as a positive advocate for necessary changes
Analytical approach to evaluate existing processes to offer innovative ideas for improvement and allow for operational efficiency and effectiveness
Ethical decision-making skills and a demonstrated history of personal integrity
Experience in an employee-facing Human Resources or Talent role is a plus
To qualify, candidates must have:
Astute attention to detail
Flexibility to adapt to different working situations
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Proficient technology skills (Microsoft Office, SharePoint)
Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks in a timely manner
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Approximately 3 – 5+ years related experience
What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $64,200 to $116,400. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $77,000 to $132,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
