The Clinical System Engineer acts as a liaison between PCHA clinics and LPCH Clinical Technology. This includes responsibility to the entire program cycle and for design and deployment of Biomedical device interface to Epic. The Clinical System Engineer will work with the department director to plan and design the Clinical Technology infrastructure for all UHA Clinics

Essential Functions

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital’s policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.

  • Assists doctors and nurses with clinical technology maintenance and repair assistance.

  • Reports problems and solutions to CT& BE leadership.

  • Assists all clinicians with user training.

  • Adheres to the CT& BE Medical Equipment Management Plan.

  • Responsible for complete and meaningful Nuvolo database documentation.

  • Responsible for Life-support and Critical equipment regulatory compliance issues.

  • Ensures all medical equipment safety issues are properly handled.

  • Regularly meets with managers, leadership councils, and staff.

  • Serves as a liaison between Manufacturer/Vendor and equipment users.

  • Leads the Clinical Technology planning and deployment for UHA facilities

  • Represents the Clinical Technology department in enterprise wide projects

    Minimum Qualifications

    Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

    Education: Associate's degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university

    Experience: Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience. Three (3) years of Clinical Technology Project management experience. Certification: CBET (Certified Biomedical Technician) preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Project Management Experience preferred.

Pay Range

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.

Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Minimum to Midpoint Range (1.0 FTE): $111,384.00 to $141,658.40
