HP Inc. Senior Business Development & Strategic Partnership manager of Ad Tech in Palo Alto, California

We are looking for a Senior Business Development & Strategic manager to lead the development and success of partnerships and business development of Adtech.

The role thrives at the intersection of advertising, data, technology, and agency relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explore and execute new ad campaign deals.

  • Coordinate closely with internal teams (e.g. product, engineering, marketing, operations, project management, legal) to ensure partnerships are effectively utilized across the organization.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with Ad Agencies. Owns relationships with decision makers at agency holding company and operating company levels, in order to successfully build and maintain a steady flow of ad sales pipelines.

  • Deep understanding in ad tech and HP's value proposition and effectively articulate that value to our clients.

  • Strategically partner with adtech vendors (e.g. DSPs, SSPs, Ad servers, etc.), ad measurement and identity companies, third-party data vendors, and more

  • Develop strategic partnerships with publishers, media companies, and more.

  • Lead dialogue with sales leadership, with major clients about their media insights needs and opportunities.

  • Manage complex customer relationships and initiatives with considerable impact, act as a trusted advisor on an external and internal level.

  • Negotiate complex partnership contracts.

  • Work with internal product solution team together to further develop HP's ad offerings.

Education & Experience Required:

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business, Advertising, Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Minimum 10+ years of work experience, preferably in an adtech or advertising sales industry.

  • Experiences in ad sales, buying, and account management.

  • Background in brands, agencies, advertising technology companies.

  • Highly self-motivated with get it done mentality.

  • Distinctive problem-solving and data-driven analysis skills, combined with sound business judgment.

  • Excellent relationship management skills.

  • Strong negotiation and deal-making skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.

  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

The base pay range for this role is $137,000 to $200,750 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
