Open Data Initiative (ODI): The trilateral coalition between three of the world’s most influential enterprise software companies (SAP, Microsoft, Adobe) tackles one of the key challenges all enterprises face: siloed data. Only by unlocking and harmonizing data companies can increase the velocity at which they provide great customer experiences and solve customer needs in real time. Enterprises should be able to do this with the data that they control but the reality looks different. This makes this initiative so remarkable and important. It gives commitment from SAP, Microsoft, and Adobe to allow data to be exchanged and enriched across systems, making data a renewable resource that flows into intelligent applications, enabling a single view of the customer, and delivering true end-to-end customer journeys.


The SAP Customer Experience team is looking for a program manager to lead the ODI for SAP. The program manager is responsible for representing SAP on ODI specific activities, driving internal initiatives and ensuring the success for SAP. Additionally, regular updates need to be delivered to our board and responsibilities of other parties.

The role requires a flexible, strategic thinker with strong project management and communication skills. It will include working with a cross-functional and geographically distributed team.

As the ODI is in an early stage, the program manager will be able to determine the strategic direction of the ODI significantly.

  • Strategic thinker, with a bias towards action who takes the initiative to identify strategic opportunities and drive execution of solutions with an outcome focused approach;

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to modify style, approach and content to all audiences – internal and external


  • Project management experience in large scale, high risk, or strategic projects/programs

  • Experience in teambuilding and leading cross functional teams

  • Experience in managing issues, scope and quality while bring projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements

  • Multicultural sensitivity and work in international environment

  • Master’s degree a plus, preferably in commerce, engineering, information technologies or MBA is an asset
