Adecco is assisting one of the leading healthcare providers in the Bay Area in recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician in Palo Alto, CA. This is a full-time opportunity with shift start times that vary from 8:30am - 11:30am. The pay range for this opportunity is $30 - $40/hr. dependent on experience.

Please note: This is an onsite position and will not allow for remote work.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for managing prescription Prior Authorization claims and resolve medication access issues on behalf of hospitalist providers.

  • Communicate with insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations for medications prescribed by hospitalist providers.

  • Investigate and resolve denied prior authorization claims

  • Serve as a point of contact for patients, providers, and insurance companies regarding prior authorization status and medication access issues.

  • Coordinate with retail pharmacies to ensure medication access for patients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent required

  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA), or Case Manager (CCM) preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a role involving prescription prior authorizations and claims resolution.

Pay range for this opportunity is $30 - $40 based on experience .

Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
