Purpose and Objective:

SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Developer at our Palo Alto, CA location responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, and quality assurance of specific SAP product features in a development team.

Expectations and Tasks:

Analyze and solve issues in existing and new code. Provide application implementation services typically within the boundaries of specifications and project plans. Design activities include requirements analysis and design documentation. Implementation activities include implementation, testing, and integration. Maintenance activities include error analysis and removal. Extends, modifies or adapts existing designs but may also be involved in the development of new (sub-) systems. Acting as Scrum Master in the LEAN context, responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum by helping everyone understand Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values. Serve as 'servant-leader' for the Product Owner and the Development Team. Facilitate Scrum Events on request or as required. Coach the Development Team in self-organization. Remove impediments to the Development Team's progress.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. The company will also accept a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.

Work Experience:

Position requires prior experience, internship or academic coursework to include each of the following:

  • Design and Development of full stack applications backend, services, capabilities, systems in Java or Python;

  • Build AI/ML Systems and NLP Models and Frameworks (Google TensorFlow);

  • Performance Engineering Concepts and Microservice Architecture;

  • Cloud Native Development Skills, including Containers and Kubernetes;

  • Cloud computing concepts, Docker, K8s, AI/ML models, and Linux skills;

  • Build Automated Triaging systems to analyze failure errors; and

  • Design, Implement and Execute Test Plans that include Unit, Mock, System Integration, Functional, Regression and Performance Tests.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $141,107 to $150,390. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a signicant step toward demonstrating SAPs commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $141,107 to $167,100. The actual amount to be oered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
