Lead Geophysicist for TerraSond Limited (Palmer, AK). Supervise 6 Geophysicists and 2 Data Processors in TerraSond's Production Dept. Coordinate geophysical data processing and interpretation performed by those geophysicists using Single and Multichannel Seismic Processing and interpretation software incl. RadexPro, IHS Kingdom, SonarWiz and GlobalMapper to define conditions of seabed and sub seafloor stratigraphy. Describe, define seabed and sub seabed conditions to assess geo-hazards relevant to existing and proposed subsea infrastructure and installations. Coordinate research and development internal co. projects to develop new seismic processing strategies and improve efficiency of seismic processing and in interpretation workflows. Mentor, train jr. personnel (i.e. geophysicists and geoscientists) for Single and Multichannel Seismic Processing and Interpretation. Develop co. best practices for surveying methods. Oversee, approve Quality Assurance and Quality Control of collected and processed geophysical data. Analyze project goals, research, and provide required geophysical data to plan survey operations, specifications, sensor choices . Perform reduction and processing of geophysical data. Prepare technical, and final reports and desktop studies. Work remotely from home anywhere in U.S. and up to 1 week every 3 months at Terrasond's office in Palmer, AK.

Requirements: Master's in Geophysics or a related field + 2 yrs. exp. as a Geophysicist performing geophysical subsurface data processing and interpretation for seabed and subsea beds using RadexPro, IHS Kingdom, SonarWiz and GlobalMapper SW. Up to 30% travel to Terrasond's office in Palmer, AK. 25% travel to offshore project sites.
