[ALASKA CDC JOB DESCRIPTION [ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
[I. Definition of Position [ Serves as administrative support staff performing interrelated administrative and clerical duties. [[II. - Provides administrative assistance to all grant programs and accounting.
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail, to include the mailing out of application requests and the initial processing of incoming applications, and processing and mailing out payments.
- Assists in eligibility determination and application processing for the Weatherization Programs.
- Answers telephone, directs calls, orders office supplies as needed, provides photocopy and filing functions.
- Word processing and data entry.
- Scheduling of energy audit appointments.
- Operate and maintain all office machines, monitoring equipment for needed repairs.
- Acts as key operator for equipment such as copier, and mail machine.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High school graduate or equivalency, college experience a plus.
- Accurate typing skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Communication skills both oral and written, i.e., composition, sentence structure, punctuation, etc.

``` - Experience with word processing and database software. A good working knowledge Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office is required. - Congenial manner when dealing with the public.
[V. General Information [This job will be based out of Alaska CDC office in Palmer, travel is only required minimally for company provided trainings. [Salary - $18-$22/hr. 40 hour work week.
