Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Training Representative Level 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Palmdale, CA.

Essential Functions:

Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel. Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors develop and/or administer training programs. May be responsible for the development of e-learning programs.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 1st “5 AM – 3:30 PM” or 2nd shift “4:12 PM – 2:42 AM” and any work schedule.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of Aerospace experience, Master's Degree with 4 years of Aerospace experience

  • Experience with hands on electrical assemblies and components in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment

  • Experienced in/familiarity with training systems or programs

  • Knowledge of compliance audit processes and procedures

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and strong verbal communication skills

  • Must be a customer-oriented team player, able to interact with staff members in a team environment productively

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret or Top Secret Clearance, as well as, Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs. (US Citizenship Required)

  • The ability to utilize a computer for basic functions (including navigating through windows operating system, getting online, executing online training modules and ability to be trained using on the job software)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DOD secret clearance with an investigation date/periodic review within the last 5 years

  • Active Program Access

  • Experience in one or more Structures, Composites, Paint, and Hydraulics systems

  • Experience with MES Manufacturing Execution Systems

  • Experience with Quality or Quality Inspection Criteria and Processes

  • Experience working with government customers

  • IPC Certified

Salary Range: $80,600 - $121,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
