Butler America Manufacturing System Engineer Lead in Palmdale, California

Manufacturing System Engineer Lead Location: Palmdale, CA Job ID: #69541 Pay Range: $130-150 12 months Summary Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for air vehicle propulsion and other related systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Technical lead who oversees the group activities of manufacturing/systems engineers supporting an air vehicle build with an IPT. Works within a model based engineering environment (3DX/iBASEt) to create product and tools design, manufacturing, assembly, installation, system testing plans and work instruction. Leads IPT design and plan reviews. Significant interface and collaboration with IPT technical leads, program management, build team and customer. Participates in on MRR, PPR and PMRs on site and *off-site location. Position requires periodic travel. Must have extensive experience in aerospace propulsion systems operations, installation, testing, trouble shooting and maintenance. Must have a background in aircraft jet turbine and/or rockets engines. Must have technical leadership experience and people skills. Must have the personal attributes and ability to work within an IPT (Integrated Product Team). Must have the ability, technical background and confidence to make critical program decisions. Preferred experience with aerospace engine suppliers. Preferred experience with complete integrated air vehicle designs, build and ground/flight test. Must have

  • Active Secret with and Investigation within 5 years or CE enrollment. Special access required to start. P-47

  • Extensive experience in aerospace propulsion systems operations, installation, testing, trouble shooting and maintenance.

  • Background in aircraft jet turbine and/or rockets engines.

  • Previously held technical lead position

  • Previous experience working within an IPT (Integrated Product Team) (Multi Discipline team) .

    Preferred experience with aerospace engine suppliers. Preferred experience with complete integrated air vehicle designs, build and ground/flight test.
