Hyatt Guest Services Supervisor in PALM BEACH, United States

As a Guest Services Supervisor, you will lead a team of concierge staff to provide exceptional service to hotel guests, assisting with various requests and ensuring their needs are met promptly. Your role involves overseeing daily operations, maintaining high service standards, and supervising the concierge and bell team to create memorable guest experiences. This role requires leadership, attention to detail, the ability to work well under pressure, and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Part of the duties will include greeting guests, assisting with luggage, providing information about the hotel and local area, and coordinating transportation. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the Bell Desk and storage areas and managing inventory and equipment. Supervise the Concierge and the Regency Club staff, ensuring a smooth operation of these areas.

The following are some of the characteristics and expectations of this job:

  • Primarily responsible for the supervision of the bell desk staff, the concierges, and the Regency Club team, monitoring the arrival experience and upkeeping of the front-of-the-house areas.

  • Be able to perform manual duties, which may involve a lot of walking and lifting baggage, and act as a mentor to coach the team members on their performance.

  • Adhere to hotel operating standards at all times and communicate with the Front desk manager and guest Service Manager to increase the team's efficiency.

  • Attend daily meetings to update management on guest requests and special arrangements.

  • Address any negative feedback promptly and implement necessary improvements.

  • Coordinate Group business, check-ins, check-outs, and room deliveries.

  • Conduct interviews.

  • Manage payroll and all the processes to ensure a satisfactory colleague’s experience

  • Manage purchases, hotel deliveries, and special projects.

Qualifications:

  • Be energetic and self-motivated to foster a positive working environment that sets the tone for the team to provide a high level of customer service.

  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience within the Rooms Division of a hotel.

  • Be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Be able to perform manual duties, which may involve a lot of walking and lifting baggage, and act as a mentor to coach the team members on their performance.

  • Should have a good command of English to interact with our guests and handle complaints efficiently.

  • Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills.

  • Detail-oriented and stress-tolerant.

  • Able to stand for long periods.

  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, resourceful and result-driven, effective communicator, friendly and outgoing personality a must, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line.

  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English, Spanish and Dutch.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.

  • Strategic thinker who has strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Opera and Reserve knowledge.
