If you are an ENGINEERING professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an opening for you! Based in our PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL location, you will join a small design and development team creating new products from the schematic, PCB layout, prototype development, to product transition to production.

As a Hardware Engineer, you will:

  • Analysis of many or all analog, power, and digital circuits including sensors, electromechanical power switches, and AC/DC, linear and switching power supplies, 12-24 bits ADCs, displays, programmable logic and 8/16/32bit Micro-controllers/Microprocessors.

  • Creation of documentation including technical requirements, functional specifications, manufacturing test specifications, qualification test plans, and product change notices.

  • Support validation and manufacturing engineers/technicians in test creation and fixture design.

  • Support manufacturing on new product releases as well as sustain current production products supporting quality improvements, cost reduction, test, component obsolescence, and failure analysis.

  • Evaluate product returns/failures to determine root cause and corrective actions.

  • Hardware design and development of micro-controller based products

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 0-5 Years Experience

  • Strong functional knowledge of electronic components and circuits including microprocessors, micro controllers, op-amps, regulators, standard digital logic ICs.

  • Documentation and presentation skills using MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.

PREFERRD EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

  • Altium schematic Capture and Layout.

  • Laboratory Equipment Proficiency.

  • Cellular product development.

Location & Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option

Ideally, this role will be based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. However, the role can be hybrid/flexible with candidates local to any Copeland location in the United States.
