Job Title: EHS senior technician

Reports To: Nick Voigt, UK EHS & sustainability manager

Position Location: Inchinnan, UK

Position Summary:

Join the busy site EHS team on the Inchinnan Bioproduction site, to provide EHS support to various departments both on site and remote, help with day-to-day EHS work, implementing improvements to our site programs & safety culture and assist us with our 2024/5 EHS goals.

This is a 12 month fixed term role and a development opportunity in the EHS field.

Key Objectives of the role:

  • Assist with the day-to-day maintenance & monitoring of our site EHS management systems e.g. Intelex, procedures, planned safety maintenance

  • Prepare internal EHS metrics, prepare and develop associated reports.

  • Support in delivery of site EHS communications e.g. Safety Bites and engagement posts.

  • good interpersonal skills and ability to interact and collaborate with others at all levels in the organization. Facilitating effective communication between different departments, employees, and EMEA EHS team members regarding safety and environmental matters, and providing administrative support for safety meetings and committees

  • Help team with addressing LSG EHS Achievement program actions and preparing for future audits.

  • Support with coordinating EHS training & communications for various groups.

  • Participating in Tier meetings and facilitating EHS Gembas & audits.

  • May facilitate and assist with incident, near miss, hazard ID investigations and root cause analysis.

  • Safety program support: assisting in the development and implementation of safety programs, policies, and procedures promoting safe and healthy work environment initiatives e.g calls to action.

  • Support the team with routine EHS tasks, administration and systems.

  • Join EMEA EHS calls and work collaboratively with other EMEA or wider EHS team members.

  • Will be required to carry out other tasks as required to support the site or wider EHS team.

Minimum requirements/ qualifications:

  • An interest in Health Safety & Environment

  • Familiarity with basic site safety systems such Intelex, risk assessments etc.

  • proficient PC skills, Microsoft office, excel etc

  • works with integrity, intensity, involvement and continuous improvement.

Desirable requirements/ qualifications:

  • Familiarity with basic site systems OCPLMS, Coupa

  • Familiarity with Power BI tool

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
