The Wastewater Plant Maintenance Laborer position involves duties associated with the grounds maintenance and general custodial duties at the wastewater treatment plant.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintains cleanliness of plants and equipment such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, waxing and emptying trash, grits, and screenings.
- Maintains grounds such as lawn mowing, trimming shrubs, edging sidewalks, and painting outside equipment.
- Shovels snow, salts sidewalks and roadways.
- Operates light equipment such as tractors, lawn mowers, dump trucks, and pumps.
- Performs other related duties as required/assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a High School diploma or GED. A valid Ohio Driver's license with a safe driving record and a drug screening are required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Candidates for this position should have experience performing custodial duties and ensuring cleanliness of various facilities, equipment and tools, and organizing materials and supplies. This position will include physical laborer, including working outdoors in all types of weather conditions. This position may require overtime, shift, weekend and holiday work, as well as flexible hours and rotating days.
