The Opportunity

As the Payroll Accountant , you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be responsible for processing bi-weekly US payroll and making necessary adjustments to the professional's master record

  • Coordinate with payroll associates to ensure timely and accurate processing of payrolls for different B&V entities

  • Conduct an overall audit of preliminary payroll reports before finalizing the pay calculation and confirmation

Key Responsibilities

  • Adjust payroll reports and taxes to reflect the professional records

  • Assists professionals with payroll-related questions

  • Research tax inquiries, penalties, and overpayments for all domestic firms

  • Generates and provides various payroll reports to the Payroll Manager for reconciliation purposes

  • Assists Statutory Accountants in creating journal vouchers for payroll journal entries, payroll tax payments, and accurate reporting of payroll data in the financial system

  • Assists IT Support and Payroll Manager in testing program changes to the payroll system, all update implementation, and year-end tax processing

  • Assists with additional projects, as assigned

  • Organize work and set priorities to efficiently meet deadlines

  • Responsible for protecting and maintaining the privacy of such records and information

  • Performs technical research as needed for new or changing matters

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of General Ledger Systems: Basic

  • Knowledge of payroll tax payments: Basic

  • Knowledge of payroll processing: Basic

  • Multi-tasking ability

  • Problem Solving skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience

  • Typically 2+ years related experience

  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
