Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the controller is responsible for the data collection, analysis, department and program pro-formas, budget compilation, financial performance consolidation, reimbursement projects, survey completion and special projects as assigned. Responsible for integrating their department’s services with the hospital primary functions. Provides orientation, in-service training and continuing education of all persons in the department. Continuously assesses and improves department’s performance and maintains appropriate quality control programs.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Accounting; Master’s Degree preferred.

• Certification by State Board of Certified Public Accountants is preferred.

• Must possess technical and professional skills in accounting. Extensive knowledge and experience with computer based financial applications combined with a high level of technical expertise in personal computer applications.

• Ability to interact with senior management as well as directors, supervisors and employees.

• This individual must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as the ability to direct the work of others.

• 2-3 years in directly related experience in healthcare industry
