Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Loader Operator for our facility located in Sheffield.

What You'll Get To Do

The Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. The Loader Operator must also maintain all equipment as directed per policies, procedures, and operator manuals.

  • Responsible for the operation of front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers and to load trucks.

  • Verify amount of aggregate in storage bins and fill hoppers to ensure adequate quantity and quality of raw materials is maintained.

  • Participate in monthly and annual inventory of aggregates and fuel

  • Remove left over concrete from surfaces (windows, basins etc.)

  • Perform routine maintenance on loaders, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.

  • Participate in making sure the quality and quantity of raw materials meets established standards.

  • Ensure assigned established performance indicators are met.

  • Work toward improvement of the assigned plant and surrounding area.

  • Follow established environmental procedures to ensure that the plant for which he/she is working is in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations and requirements.

  • Participate in ongoing minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment.

  • Work with plant manager, batch person, and other personnel to resolve problems, provide immediate feedback, and may recommend solutions to improve performance.

  • May transport cement and/or additives from storage area in bulk or bags using manual material handling equipment.

  • Adhere to all Heidelberg Materials and Occupational Health and Safety Act rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.

  • Meet or exceed company safety standards.

  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.

What We Are Looking For

  • Be able to read, write, and speak English.

  • 1yr Loader Operator experience preferred.

  • High school diploma preferred.
