Team Lead, Accounts Payable and Payments

Compensation Data

Salary: $67,146.00 per year (eligible for annual bonus)

Purpose of the position

To lead the Accounts payable and Payments team of 5-10 team members and manage the service delivery of this team according to customers’ needs and expectations.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead & develop a team of 5-10 team members (depending on the area); represent team interest in management forums

  • Responsible for service delivery in Accounts payable and Payments service area, managing operational team and coordinating of BPOs (CapGemini) service delivery

  • Manage team resources against skills, workload and availability

  • Perform operation work to support the team with workload

  • Manage team performance, meet process SLAs and KPIs and manage customer expectations, oversight of third parties performance. Responsible to collect data and comment on deviations; provide action plan to improve KPI's if needed

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives; implement improvement programs when necessary

  • Receive and resolve employee inquiries from first line specialists when specific, in-depth functional knowledge is required and escalate if required

  • Own quality checks and their reporting

  • Provide support to the Solution Owners and Process Owners

  • Build positive working relationships with the Local BA customers and end-users

  • Drive the customer-centric culture and service delivery

  • Provide timely and accurate reporting per agreed reporting schedule

  • 1st escalation point for process-related issues

  • Constant focus on customer satisfaction

  • Be part of building up the ITP area in the KALMAR in close cooperation with the project team

  • Participate in transition activities when applicable:

  • Support the functional work stream

  • Support the transition of processes incl. Knowledge transfer and work shadowing

  • Any other tasks assigned by the line manager related to the areas of accountability

  • All work needs to be conducted in compliance with Global Company guidelines, code of conduct, policies, procedures, controls and legal requirements

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:

  • BA degree in finance or business or min. 4 years of relevant business experience and financial accounting skills

Experience:

+ + 5 years of experience of which 1-2 years in a supervisory role in ITP (preferably from a Shared Services/BPO environment)

Competencies:

  • Strong experience in operations in the ITP area

  • Experience with simple to complex query handling

  • Good understanding of internal controls & risk management

  • Strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

  • Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines

  • Knowledge about RPA, ERP/Cloud solutions are preferred

  • Conflict Management and Resolution skills

  • Staff Management, Direction Setting, Performance Management, Internal HR processes awareness

  • Full professional proficiency of written and oral English required
