The Department of Atmospheric and Geological Sciences at SUNY Oswego is searching for a field-oriented geologist with geological expertise in stratigraphy/sedimentary geology OR hydrogeology/geomorphology, with the ability to teach and advise diverse students with interest in geosciences and geoscience education in the field and laboratory settings.

Depending on area of specialty, the position includes teaching a stratigraphy and sedimentology course with a laboratory component OR a geomorphology course with laboratory component and a hydrogeology course with laboratory component. The position also includes teaching courses in either physical geology OR environmental sustainability, and an elective course in applied geology. Participation in the department's geology field camp program is also desired.

Required Qualifications:

M.S. in Geology (ABD or PhD is preferred), ability to instruct the discipline specific courses listed above.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching and research experience and completed (or nearly completed) Ph.D. in Geology.
