Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to assist in the production process and ensure the highest quality standards of our egg ingredients. The ideal candidate will efficiently operate various equipment, perform sanitation duties, and ensure compliance with U.S.D.A. inspection and quality guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect Products and Equipment: Ensure quality standards are met by inspecting products and equipment for defects.

  • Handle Finished Products: Move finished products to the warehousing area using appropriate equipment.

  • Monitor Equipment: Visually ensure all components of the machines are operating correctly and efficiently.

  • Sanitize Equipment: Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment used in the production process.

  • Compliance: Perform duties to meet U.S.D.A. inspection and quality guidelines, including record keeping with hand-held tablets.

  • Support Operations: Carry out all other duties as required and assigned by the supervisor to meet plant needs.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Follow directions and communicate effectively with team members and management.

  • Multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Work independently and manage assignments from supervisors or management.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and participate in the company’s safety process.

  • Safely handle chemical solutions, eggs, and egg products.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.

  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance.

  • Visually interpret instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts.

  • Stand for extended periods, lift, carry, push, and pull up to 55 lbs.

  • Reach, stretch, bend, and stoop throughout the shift.

  • Climb ladders and stairs, and enter confined spaces for cleaning and inspection tasks if applicable.

  • Work in various temperatures and humidity levels.

PPE/Safety:

  • During sanitation: Chemical-resistant gloves, aprons, face shields, rain suits, and boots.

  • In production areas: Safety glasses, hair/beard nets, and hearing protection.
