Your job involves taking care of our amazing animal collection, sprucing up their spaces, and being a wildlife ambassador to our visitors. You\'re part animal care expert, part zookeeper extraordinaire, and part educator. Animal Whisperer: Take care of animals, including fixing their daily meals. Keep a close eye on their health, behavior, and happiness. Assist the veterinarian with procedures. Maintain detailed animal records. Cage Captain: Clean and maintain animal enclosures. Perform minor medical grooming tasks (trimming nails, etc.). Use animal control equipment for safe handling. Nature\'s Teacher: Create and lead engaging education programs for kids and communities. Become the face of the zoo during tours and public events. Handle all aspects of visitor interaction, ensuring they enjoy and respect the zoo. Exhibit Extraordinaire: Help design natural-looking enclosures. Maintain zoo grounds and non-animal areas. Team Player: Train and supervise seasonal workers, interns, and volunteers. Attend workshops and stay updated on zoo management best practices. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: An Associate\'s Degree (biology, zoology, or wildlife management preferred). At least 2 years of hands-on experience with zoo animals. Valid driver\'s license. Be knowledgeable about animal care and handling. Basic supervision skills for managing seasonal staff and volunteers. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
