Oshkosh Corporation Global Trade Compliance Intern in Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Position Summary

Contribute to the continuous improvement of Oshkosh Corporation’s Import Compliance Program. This position will provide trade compliance to company personnel involved in sourcing product overseas and assist with day-to-day import operations to ensure compliance with all applicable governmental regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with Engineering and Purchasing functions to ensure imported material is entered into the US in a compliant, timely manner.

• Helps facilitate the compliant submission of 10+2/Importer Security Filing (ISF) to ensure all goods are exported from foreign countries timely and compliant with all new 10+2/ISF requirements.

• Work with Purchasing and Engineering personnel to determine the accurate classification of US imported merchandise.

• Help manage the yearly solicitations for free trade agreement certificates of origin through our Global Trade Automation site.

• Track and ensure the accurate and compliant reporting of assists to US Customs; including tooling, free-of-charge supplied parts, and non-recurring engineering expenses.

• Monitor and review all import entries to ensure compliance and accurately report any post-entry adjustments that may apply.

• Assist with and develop processes for internal import related audits.

• Work closely with our Corporate Logistics team to ensure on-time delivery.

• Maintain close relationships with our Customs Brokers to assist with the entry of our goods.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Student working towards a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Operations Management, Business or related field.

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.

Computer literacy including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while working independently and efficiently.

Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to function in a small team environment, must be a contributor and know when to attain consensus

Motivated and willing to learn about trade compliance

Pay Range:

$18.00 - $37.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
