Req# 28261 Aultman Health Foundation, ORRVILLE, OH AULTMAN ORRVILLE HOSPITAL Aultman Health Foundation Casual - As Needed - No Benefits, Day Shift, 7:30am-4pm SUMMARY OF POSITION Coordinates the flow of patients utilizing excellent customer service. Cleans and services assigned areas in a way that maintains department flow and provides a clean, attractive, safe environment with minimal interference to others. Orders and receives assigned supplies. Performs clerical, receptionist, and related duties on the unit, under the direction of a registered nurse and/or physician/nurse practitioner. RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS Greet and assist patients and their families upon arrival to the Department. Responsible for department housekeeping duties as needed. Assists in orientation of new colleagues to the unit. Serves on committees as assigned by Director. Responsible for the Pain Management scheduling, phones, registration and check in processes. Responsible for efficient, courteous interview of patient/physician office representatives to obtain required data for scheduling procedures. Accurately gives pre-procedure instructions to physician office staff or patients. Coordinates with referring physician's office to assure necessary insurance/workman's compensation that approval has been received. Creates and maintains AOH Center for Pain Manafor our training gement charts. Obtains all physician dictation, test results and updates chart documents. Ensures charts are prepared for hospital coders in appropriate time frame. Communicates documentation deficiencies to appropriate departments. May also perform secretarial duties in other offices as the need exists. Assist with transporting patients throughout the unit and upon completion of the procedure, to their receiving transport vehicle, at the discretion of the Registered Nurse. May be cross trained to enter charges, surgery scheduling, desk, and other areas as needed. Responsible for checking emails and online learning assignments on a regular basis. Other duties as assigned by Director. JOB REQUIREMENTS High school graduate. Willingness and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Good organizational skills and good communication. Typing/computer skills. Must be computer literate to complete task(s) as required. WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal hours are based upon shift requirements. Requires occasional paid overtime to handle peak work times Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day Sitting/standing/moving about during working hours PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ADDENDUM O = Occasionally = 0- 33% of the work shift or 0- 32 repetitions.
