If you are mechanically inclined and have attention to the detail; like to do car stereos and fix up cars, trucks, ATV type stuff, and would like doing it on a larger new vehicle scale. This position may be right for you!

Must exhibit experience and familiarity with mechanics in general and it helps if there is experience in boat rigging in particular. Must demonstrate an attention to detail, be handy with tools, be able to read a tape measure, and be able to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems. Must be able to learn quickly, take notes, and work independently.

Must be able and willing to climb in and out of boat hulls, over and under them as well. Must be able and willing to work in various physical positions, many of which will be in the kneeling position or uncomfortable positions. Must be able and willing to lift at least 50 pounds.

Must be able to fabricate various items, parts, and pieces. Must understand how to take raw materials and produce usable parts that conform to standards.

Must be able and willing to produce parts and products through to completion, including fit and finish. Attention to detail is a must. Producing factory new products is the standard.

SJX Boats is a production driven manufacturing environment with high standards for quality. The work schedule is 4 ten-hour days per week with some overtime based on the current production quotas.

Experience in fabricating, rigging and boat building is preferred, but willing to train a candidate with transferrable skills, aptitude and desire to learn and become part of team in a career-oriented work culture.
